Abstract Background Custodiol®-histidine-tryptophan-ketoglutarate (HTK) cardioplegia is widely used. Objective To compare the outcomes of isolated coronary surgery requiring prolonged cross-clamp time (XCT) in patients receiving a single-dose HTK or multidose cold blood (MCB) cardioplegia.
