Introduction Bioresorbable coronary scaffolds have been designed to prevent long-term complications related to permanent implantation of metallic stents. Everolimus-eluting bioresorbable vascular scaffold (Absorb BVS; Abbott Vascular, Santa Clara, California) was one of the first bioresorbable vascular scaffolds (BVS) to be developed.
